The work belongs to SELFIE series, in which the artist works on a particular form of self-portrait, which does not return the artist's physical image, but the image of her mind, her emotions, her relationship with the body and the food.
In SELFIE Marioni personifies her discomfort and her own neuroses using subjects not particularly close to her in likeness, yet unmistakably representing his person.
The big face, placed in front of the observer, makes the artwork similar to a magic mirror, inhabited by artist's inner ego that shows itself without pretense, revealing artist’s true feelings and questioning directly the observer.

L’opera appartiene alla serie SELFIE, nella quale l’artista lavora su una particolare forma di autoritratto, che non restituisce l’immagine fisica dell’artista, bensì l’immagine della sua mente, della sua emotività, del suo rapporto con il corpo ed il cibo.
