#lasciamiandare — Il Battesimo

La performance IL BATTESIMO, presentata in forma di video proiettato direttamente a parete, compendia tre direttrici di significato: in primis il richiamo all’omonimo Sacramento cattolico, nei termini di rito di passaggio nel quale il nuovo nato viene per la prima volta a contatto con la sfera sociale acquisendo in quel momento un’identità riconosciuta dalla comunità. In #LASCIAMIANDARE, questa è la fase di liberazione definitiva, non tanto dalla relazione tossica ormai chiusa da tempo, ma dalle scorie di essa, e dalla presenza “mentale”, residua del predatore; ciò consente appunto il pieno ritorno alla sfera sociale e relazionale, tanto compresse se non cancellate completamente nell’ambito del rapporto tossico.
Il Battesimo è quindi richiamato anche nei termini di rinascita a vita nuova, aspetto questo fortemente formalizzato nella posizione capovolta del soggetto immerso nel liquido, che riconduce sia alla liturgia dei primi secoli del Cristianesimo, quando i corpi dei catecumeni venivano immersi nella vasca battesimale, sia, ed è questa la seconda linea di riferimento, alla nascita nei termini biologici, quasi si fosse di fronte all’ecografia di un nascituro.
In terza istanza, Battesimo è anche “atto di purificazione”, e come tale si presenta l’opera in #LASCIAMIANDARE; la rabbia ed il dolore derivanti dalla relazione tossica sono finalmente alle spalle, in questo punto d’arrivo che è il perdono di sé; in tale fase si torna finalmente ad essere soli, non c’è più l’ombra del predatore che per lungo tempo è rimasta ad opprimere la testa ed il cuore; ecco che l’immersione nell’acqua che isola, depriva sensorialmente, richiama questo importante aspetto della liberazione: la fase del perdono di sè, che è reale e definitiva liberazione dal predatore, il quale a questo punto, finalmente, non esiste più.
The performance THE BAPTISM, presented in video form projected directly onto the wall, summarizes three directions of meaning: first of all, the reference to the Catholic Sacrament with the same name, in terms of rite of passage in which the newborn comes in direct contact for the first time with the social sphere by acquiring in that moment an identity recognized by the community. In #LASCIMIANDARE, this is the definitive liberation phase, not so much distant from the long-closed toxic relationship, but from its waste, and from the residual "mental" presence of the predator; this precisely allows the full return to the social and relational sphere, both compressed if not completely erased in the context of the toxic relationship.
Baptism is therefore also referred in terms of rebirth to new life, an aspect strongly formalized in the upside down position of the subject immersed in the liquid, which leads both to the liturgy of the first centuries of Christianity, when the bodies of catechumens were immersed in the baptismal font, and , and this is the second line of reference, at birth in biological terms, almost as if we were faced with an ultrasound scan of an unborn child.
Thirdly, Baptism is also an "act of purification", and all the work presented through #lasciamiandare is based on it; the anger and pain deriving from the toxic relationship are finally behind us, at this point of arrival which is self-forgiveness; in this phase the person finally returns to being alone, there is no longer the shadow of the predator which for a long time has remained to oppress the head and the heart; here comes the immersion in water that isolates, deprives the senses, recalls this important aspect of liberation: the phase of self-forgiveness, which is real and definitive liberation from the predator, who at this point, finally, no longer exists.
